about

The Montgomery County Association of Teachers of Foreign Languages (MCATFL) provides affordable, relevant, and meaningful professional development opportunities for world-language educators.

In addition to offering high-quality programming at our fall and spring conferences, we are dedicated to fostering spaces for local teachers to connect, exchange ideas, and develop their practice. As the host of the annual James J. Doyle Oral Proficiency Contest, we likewise seek to encourage students’ enthusiasm for world-language study.

Our executive board

Volunteer Executive Board members meet the second Tuesday of each month — reach out to us at mcatfl@gmail.com if you're interested in getting involved!
