Job opening- Spanish (& French)

The Agnes Irwin School seeks an experienced, creative and dynamic Middle and Upper School Spanish Teacher; experience teaching advanced/upper level Spanish is a plus.  This is a full-time position, beginning with the 2015-2016 academic year.  Some essential qualifications are:
 
Demonstrated success in teaching both Middle and Upper School learners
Native or near-native fluency in Spanish
Ability to teach French, a plus
BA in Spanish or related field, advanced degree preferred
Excellent communication skills in English
Versatility in working with students of all ages
Ability to work cooperatively with department members
 
We are seeking a candidate who is well-versed in 21st century teaching.  This individual must have the ability to create original materials, utilize authentic documents on a daily basis, and integrate technology in the classroom.  The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of one or more Hispanic cultures and understands how to contextualize language learning in culture.  In accord with the School’s commitment to the advancement of girls, the candidate will also understand how girls learn and thrive, and know how to inspire them to become life-long learners of language and culture as global citizens.
