The Montgomery County Association of Teachers of Foreign Languages (MCATFL) provides affordable, relevant, and meaningful professional development opportunities for world-language educators.

In addition to offering high-quality programming at our fall and spring conferences, we are dedicated to fostering spaces for local teachers to connect, exchange ideas, and develop their practice. As the host of the annual James J. Doyle Oral Proficiency Contest, we likewise seek to encourage students’ enthusiasm for world-language study.

Volunteer Executive Board members meet monthly to plan and reflect on the MCATFL mission. Monthly meetings are currently held the second Tuesday of each month at 4:15 pm at Germantown Academy in Ft. Washington. New members always welcome.
